CALIFORNIA WOLF RESEARCH WITH DR. ANNA DOTY & OMAR KHAYAM
In partnership with Dr. Anna Doty, Dr. Omar Khayem, local ranchers, and community partners, we’re conducting field research in Sierra County using trail cameras and collaborative monitoring to better understand wolves and advance practical, science-based coexistence solutions.
WOMEN’S CONSERVATION LEADERSHIP
Our Conservation Ambassador Program brings together women photographers, educators, scientists, artists, and storytellers—including Allie Roams and Taylor Ganis—to connect communities with nature, elevate women’s leadership, and inspire meaningful action for wildlife and conservation.
BOYS & GIRLS CLUB WILDLIFE EDUCATION
Through partnerships with the Boys & Girls Club and our Wild Side Get Outside program, we provide hands-on wildlife education, outdoor experiences, and conservation activities that help young people build curiosity, confidence, and lasting connections with nature.
PINE RIDGE RESERVATION NATURE & LEADERSHIP PROJECT
In partnership with the BEAR Project, our year-round Nature & Leadership Program connects Oglala Lakota youth with wildlife, culture, community, and the outdoors through monthly experiences rooted in conservation, creativity, leadership, and Indigenous knowledge.
CHAMPIONING LEGISLATION THAT PROTECTS WOLVES & WILD SPACES
Women for Wolves has already advocated on 50+ wildlife bills, public comments, and conservation actions this year alone. Current priorities include California's Wildlife Coexistence Act (SB 1135), Tribal Water & Ecosystem Stewardship (AB 2218), and Grizzly Bear Recovery (SB 1350).
SIX WOLF-DOG PUPPIES SAVED
Six wolf-dog puppies rescued from a hoarding situation in Big Bend, California, were given a second chance at life and adopted into loving homes. Today, Women for Wolves also provides lifelong care to 21 rescued wolf-dogs at our sanctuary in El Dorado County.
