Frequently Asked Questions

  • Women for Wolves was founded in 2013 under the original name Jaws & Paws. In 2025, the organization formally changed its name to Women for Wolves. During this transition, our EIN remains associated with Jaws & Paws, and Women for Wolves operates as a DBA. Regardless, all donations made to Jaws & Paws go directly to Women for Wolves.

  • Our sanctuary is not currently open to the public. We do, however, host off-site community events, hikes, and educational programs. Upcoming 2026 events will be listed at womenforwolves.org/events.

  • Because the sanctuary is not open to the public, we are unable to host onsite volunteers currently. We’re developing remote volunteer opportunities and will share details on our website as they launch. In the meantime, you can support our work by sharing our mission, donating, or reaching out about fundraising, partnership, or sponsorship opportunities.

  • Due to widespread overbreeding, many sanctuaries including ours are at capacity and unable to accept new rescues. While this could change as our foster placements progress, we still help place wolves and wolf-dogs in need with our sister organization Northern Breed & Wolf-Dog Rescue. Please reach out to our Rescue Partner Morgan Dulgarian at info@wdnbrescue.org, and she can help assist with potential placement.

  • Media requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis due to high demand. We welcome aligned collaborations and ask that inquiries include:

-Links to your website and social media

-A brief description of the project’s purpose

-Any anticipated rollout or distribution plan

This information helps us assess alignment and respond efficiently. Thank you!
