Our story
Women for Wolves was established to bring women together to advocate for wolves and wildlife while helping reshape conservation through more ethical and coexistence-centered approaches to wildlife management.
The organization began in Northern California as a grassroots advocacy and rescue nonprofit focused on wolves, wolf-dogs, and endangered predators. Women for Wolves worked to challenge fear-based perceptions on predators while inspiring young people to advocate through wolf-dog rescue & sanctuary.
Today, Women for Wolves is a women-led conservation organization focused on conservation, wildlife coexistence education, women’s empowerment & indigenous partnerships throughout California and beyond. We work toward a future where wildlife, and people thrive together.
