CALIFORNIA WOLF RESEARCH WITH DR. ANNA DOTY & OMAR KHAYAM

Women for Wolves is partnering with Dr. Anna Doty, Dr. Omar Khayem, local landowners, ranchers, and community partners to support California wolf coexistence research in Sierra County. Through trail cameras, field monitoring, landowner collaboration, and the evaluation of nonlethal tools, the project aims to improve understanding of California’s recovering wolf population and the landscapes wolves share with people and livestock. Our work focuses on practical, science-based approaches that can reduce conflict while supporting both wildlife conservation and rural communities. By bringing researchers and local stakeholders together, we hope to contribute meaningful information that strengthens long-term coexistence across California. Learn more.
