Honoring Indigenous Land and wild wolves
LOLLA means “wolf” in Nisenan, the language of the Indigenous people of El Dorado County and surrounding Northern California territories of which our sanctuary is located on, and where wild wolves are recolonizing.
Our LOLLA educational kits honor Indigenous landscapes and ways of knowing while grounding wolf education in science, ecology, and coexistence.
These kits explore the past, present, and future of wolves in California, combining science, storytelling, and reflection.
Each kit is tailored by age group (includes elementary school, middle school, highschool , & adult /college levels)
