Grant for Women Pursuing Careers in Conservation:
Women For Wolves (WFW), in partnership with The California Wolf Foundation (CFW) is offering this competitive research grant/scholarship to female undergraduate and graduate students attending a college or university. A single grant will be funded by CWF and WFW with the goal of encouraging women to pursue academic endeavors related to conservation or study of wolves in alignment with the shared missions of CWF and WFW. Funding can be applied to tuition or other expenses associated with college enrollment, research costs, or travel expenses associated with presentation of research at relevant conferences or symposia. One award will be made in the amount of $5,000. Preference will be given to students within California or conducting research in California or within the greater Pacific Northwest wolf inhabited area.
The application closing period is May 31, 2025. A review panel from CWF and WFW will evaluate each application individually; authorization of this grant award is at the sole discretion of the CWF/WFW review panel. Submittal of this application does not guarantee funding. We anticipate notification of award no later than June 30, 2025.
